This hotel is situated right on Las Ramblas, undoubtedly the city’s most famous landmark, a fantastically central location, right on the doorstep of the Gothic quarter and many main attractions.
An attractive 19th century building, the hotel, one of the oldest in Barcelona, has undergone extensive renovation work converting it into a sleek and tasteful hotel that retains much of its original charm and period features.
Its Ramblas location means guests have a whole host of opportunities just metres from the hotel, the Boqueria market, the Gothic cathedral, the Liceo theatre and Barcelona Centre of Contemporary Culture (CCCB), not to mention of course a fantastic selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as great shopping with many high-street-names and trendy boutiques.
This is one of the oldest hotels in Barcelona, we opened as a Hotel in 1842. To be again an excellent prospect in Barcelona and Las Ramblas, we made a total renovation saving the old structure while also providing the modern hotel concepts.
